Overview

OceanaGold produces gold and copper and operates the Waihi mine in New Zealand. This paid placement joins its External Affairs and Social Performance team on site, creating internal and external content, supporting newsletters and events, and communicating about mining and the Waihi North Project. Interns also work with other departments and present their learning to site management. The placement runs approximately from mid-November 2026 to mid-February 2027, with timing dependent on exams. Applicants must be in their penultimate or final year of relevant diploma or bachelor study, have unrestricted New Zealand work rights and hold a full Class 1 driving licence.
