CaseCrest legal
The binding agreement that governs how you access and use the CaseCrest platform and competitions.
Effective date: 31 December 2025
These Terms of Service govern your use of the CaseCrest platform and services.
By accessing or using CaseCrest, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or at least sixteen (16) years old with appropriate consent.
You retain ownership of content you submit (“User Content”).
By submitting User Content, you grant CaseCrest a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, modify, analyse, distribute, publicly display, and create derivative works.
CaseCrest may use User Content in connection with platform operation, improvement, analytics, research, benchmarking, promotion, and related offerings.
User Content is not confidential by default.
Competition-specific rules govern each event. Where conflicts exist, those rules prevail for that competition only, and judging decisions are final.
Draft submissions may be modified prior to deadlines. Final submissions may become immutable.
If you submit on behalf of a team or organisation, you represent that you are authorised to do so.
Student-led societies, clubs, and university organisations may create and host competitions on CaseCrest at no cost. Corporate or commercial entities may be required to enter into a separate licence and pay usage fees; applicable pricing and terms must be agreed before launch.
CaseCrest may generate scores, rankings, feedback, annotations, analytics, benchmarks, and other system-generated insights (“Derived Outputs”). Derived Outputs may be used independently of the original submission for operational, analytical, educational, or commercial purposes.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. CaseCrest does not guarantee confidentiality, exclusivity, prize delivery, or uninterrupted availability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CaseCrest is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Aggregate liability is limited to the greater of AUD $100 or amounts paid in the preceding six months.
CaseCrest may suspend or terminate access at its discretion. Rights granted to CaseCrest survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CaseCrest is operated, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
