Overview
The Queensland Government’s Future Leaders programme develops graduates across public-sector business and policy functions. The 2028 intake begins in February, with applications officially announced for March 2027. Participants undertake a two-year temporary appointment with three departmental placements, mentoring and training. Work can include finance, audit, risk, procurement, HR, communications and public administration. Regional opportunities are described for Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton and Toowoomba alongside Brisbane. Applicants from all disciplines are eligible if their qualification falls within the published completion window and they have Australian working rights. The programme explicitly does not require previous work experience. Exact recruitment dates and individual placements remain unannounced.
