Overview

City of Gold Coast is the local government serving Queensland’s Gold Coast. The internal audit graduate supports assurance and advisory work through audit planning, research and risk analysis. Duties also include sample testing, site visits, stakeholder meetings and drafting reports or briefings that communicate audit findings. The twelve-month Graduate Academy starts in February 2027 and combines work experience with coaching, mentoring, professional development and a graduate cohort. Applicants need a relevant bachelor or postgraduate qualification completed within the preceding two years, or before programme commencement, plus full Australian working rights. These fixed-term jobs involve 36 hours per week and a nine-day fortnight.
