Overview
City of Gold Coast is the local government serving Queensland’s Gold Coast. The finance graduate moves between management and financial accounting, helping prepare Council’s annual budget and annual financial statements. Work includes understanding statutory obligations and reporting for internal and external stakeholders. The twelve-month Graduate Academy starts in February 2027 and combines work experience with coaching, mentoring, professional development and a graduate cohort. Applicants need a relevant bachelor or postgraduate qualification completed within the preceding two years, or before programme commencement, plus full Australian working rights. These fixed-term jobs involve 36 hours per week and a nine-day fortnight.
