Overview
Canterbury-Bankstown Council provides local government services in south-west Sydney. This graduate lawyer placement joins its in-house General Counsel team for two years of temporary full-time employment beginning in February 2027. Work includes legal research, drafting advice and court documents, helping manage litigation, maintaining records and supporting property, commercial, administrative and regulatory matters. Graduates work with experienced lawyers, internal departments and external legal providers. Applicants need a recognised Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor and a current NSW practising certificate, with analytical, communication and computer skills.
